Solving The Puzzle of Planet Corner in Coral Castle

Hey guys, today let’s take a look at the mystery of the Planet Corner. The North-East corner is the most fascinating, and the most photographed area of Coral Castle. Ed referred to this corner as ‘The Planet Corner’. At the point where the north wall meets the east wall, one large spherical stone sits majestically. Ed himself called it the ‘Mars statue’ eliminating any doubt about what it stands for. Ed has also carved planet Saturn right next to it. There is no doubt that it represents Saturn, because Ed has carved a ring around it, to mimic the real planet. Each of these stones weighs around 18 tons.

But as we look at other objects in the ‘Planet Corner’, things start to get confusing. Ed has carved a huge crescent moon next to Saturn! Moon is not a planet, so what is it doing in the ‘Planet Corner’? But Ed didn’t stop there, he has carved another smaller crescent next to it! Why did Ed carve only 2 planets and leave the rest of them? Why did he carve 2 crescent moons next to the planets?

This is mind boggling, so I began searching for the answer. To my disappointment, none of the books about Coral Castle explain this weird alignment. However, I noticed the term “Crescent of the East” referring to the big crescent in two documents: (1) Information printed on the back of Ed’s book “A book in every home” (2) Official tour brochure of Coral Castle. Both were from the office of Coral Castle itself. You can also see the same term in Newspaper articles as well.  I had never heard the phrase “Crescent of the East”, so I called up their office. They clarified that Ed always referred to the big crescent as the “Crescent of the East”, but no one knew what it meant.

At least I found out what Ed really called the big crescent! Armed with this important clue, I learnt that planet Venus always appears as a crescent. Not just with a telescope, but you can even see it as a crescent with your naked eye. Also, Venus is best seen in the East, just before sunrise. This is why Ed called it the Crescent of the East. So the large, 23 ton crescent represents planet Venus. This is an actual photograph of Venus from NASA.

But what about the smaller crescent right next to it? This represents planet mercury, because even mercury always appears as a crescent. On occasions where you can see both planets in the night sky, Venus appears as the bigger crescent and mercury as the smaller crescent. This view is accurately reflected by Ed’s carvings where you can see the bigger Venus and the smaller Mercury carved side by side.

Why do we earthlings, see Mercury and Venus as crescents and other planets as spheres? Because only these 2 planets have smaller orbits than the earth’s. So, each of these two planet’s surface reflects different amounts of sunlight, revealing different portions of the planet’s surface. This is the same reason why we see the Moon as a crescent most of the time. All other planets, like Mars for example, have larger orbits than the earth’s. So we see them as full spheres and not as crescents. However, if you travel to a much farther planet like Saturn, and then look at Mars, it will appear as a crescent too.

But why did Ed carve just 4 planets, and leave the rest of them? You can find the answer in my book Coral Castle: Everything You Know Is Wrong. You’ll find lots of interesting information like this in the book. I hope you liked this video, I am Praveen Mohan, thanks a lot for watching and I’ll talk to you soon.

The infamous haunted West Virginia Penitentiary at Moundsville

Hey guys, this is the West Virginia State Pen in Moundsville, one of the most haunted locations in the United States. Why? Because it was ranked as one of the top 10 most violent correctional facilities, according to the US department of Justice. 998 inmates were killed in this facility. Over 47 inmates committed suicide unable to bear the atrocities in here. Allow me to give you a tour of the inside, the electric chair, the mysterious shadow man, the racist water coolers, 5 by 7 cells where 3 people slept in and even devil worship.  Today it is a very scary place but when it was in operation, the West Virginia Pen was hell on earth.

This is the Old Sparky, the electric chair that took 9 lives some of them considered innocent by the public. An electrician would come early in the day and wire one of the 3 buttons and he is the only one who knew which one worked at the time. Now when the time came, all the three buttons were hit at the same time. If you were sitting in that chair,  and an officer hits that button, 1700 volts is going to go through your body. It is going to induce heart attack and you would die. Then it is going to pause. Then it will deliver another 800 volts. Then it will pause one more time and will deliver another 1800 volts into your body. Now the first 1700, that did the job. The last 2 were to make sure that your brain is completely cooked.  You can also see a phone right next to Old Sparky. If all of a sudden the governor decided to change death to life in prison that call would have been made on that phone. However, this phone never rang in this facility. }

This was not the only method of execution. Right here, was a building called the death house, the gallows where 85 men were killed by hanging. It was torn down shortly after the death penalty was abolished in 1965. But long before the death house, the wagon gate served as the gallows where people were hung in public. They did have several botched executions. In 1931, an inmate by the name of Frank Hyer was set for hanging. Frank Hyer was a large man, and they made that rope a little bit too long. So when Frank dropped, he was completely decapitated by the noose. His body fell straight to the ground, and his head bumped off and rolled right at the feet of the public. To this day, dozens of people have reported seeing a headless ghost walking around, hunched over as though searching for its head.  Could this be the spirit of Frank Hyer or does it belong to R.D WALL? Who is RD Wall? He was another inmate who was decapitated by 3 other prisoners for snitching. Whoever this headless ghost is, its serving Afterlife with No Parole in this place.

This is the lockup unit where guys were locked in the cells 22 and a half hours a day. That’s half an hour shower, and an hour of recreational time.  The first cell belonged to a guy named Red Snyder, leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. He was stabbed 37 times in the chest in this cell and died.   This Cell, Cell number 17 had a devil worshiper, he not only made these drawings but took the authorities to the court all the time. He did that to claim his right to sacrifice goats and chickens in the cell. He was denied but he was able to use human blood of the inmates. He also had a group of followers who took part in these rituals. At one point, this facility became the hub of devil worship, so much so that Charles Manson wanted to be transferred here. In his request letter, he used a pretext of moving closer to his family. It was common knowledge that this was not the real reason and he wanted to partake in satanic worship and his request was promptly denied.

One of the strangest apparitions ever captured on camera is the Shadow man. It was first captured right here by this door that says cafeteria. Paranormal experts around the world say that this is the best piece of evidence that proves the existence of ghosts. People have tried to debunk this multiple times, but the shadow man has been captured at least half a dozen times in different parts of the facility. Who is this trapped soul and why does he appear on the walls of this pen? Perhaps he is not just a trapped soul but his body may also be trapped in the walls.

You see, torture was extremely common in this facility. Inmates were bound in a device called the Kicking Jenny and were whipped with leather straps. The straps were dipped in water, then in sand. This whipping would go on until the officer ran out of strength or if the victim died. Only 50% of the torture victims survived. One inmate John G. Roberts was whipped until his skin and most of his flesh was completely peeled off from his body. He lays buried under the walls of this pen.  It is quite possible that John G. Roberts is the shadow man that wants his body to be recovered and buried with proper rituals.

In the early 1940s the federal govt. came down and investigated torture . Everything else was removed ahead of time, and they only found one device which was oddly named the shoo-fly. In this device, you would be strapped with your arms stretched and bound. No more than 2 inches from your face was a fire hose. The officers turned it on and walked away. If you drowned, good for you because  If you didn’t when they came back and if you are still gasping for air, they would take you to the kicking jenny.

These torture techniques were used on the inmates that the officers did not like. However, life itself was torturous in the WVP.  The facility was built to have 500-600 inmates. However often times they had about 3000. So instead of 1 man in a cell, they had 3 or even 5 men in a 5×7 cell which made it look like a sardine can. On top of this, the summers were 100-135 degree Fahrenheit. So 135 degrees, 5 full grown men in 5X7 cell blocks, tensions might flare just a little bit. Now in winter time, the temperature dropped to about 40. In some parts of the pen. it was below freezing. Built in 1876, this place was in shambles after a century. In 1981 an inmate Mark Parker testified that he was forced to drink water out of the toilet when his cell sink became inoperable. The plumbing was not fixed and then his toilet stopped working for 2 full months. This is just one example of what went on in this place. This is why 47 inmates committed suicide and consequently, there could be cases of residual haunting where something that happened in the past is replayed over and over again. Paranormal hot spots, EVPs and even cases of physical contact with ghosts have been recorded here. Unwary visitors who wander into isolated areas have even had their hair pulled or have been shoved by these spirits.

So, if there was so much torture from the officers, what about the inmates? The inmates not only fought among themselves for superiority, but also fought with the officers. The most famous was the 1986 riot where the inmates came together and took several officers as hostages. They controlled the pen. for two full days. It is a very gruesome tale, but the highlight was that they made the officers watch while they carved up a child molester like a Halloween pumpkin. They disfigured him using shanks, slowly took his eyeballs out, while he was alive. This show went on for 3 hours. The guards were not physically harmed but one officer was put in a mental hospital after this. And shortly after, he committed suicide.

Why did they riot? Because they wanted this new cafeteria which was built soon after the riot. There were lots of very powerful gangs in here, like the Aryan brotherhood, the black Muslims, the black panthers and the KKK. A lot of what this boiled down to, was the black and white. And if you look at that water fountain right here on the stone pillar, you will see a black water pipe. This was the colored water fountain. What about the one on the opposite end? This is white. This was the whites only water fountain. They had tables here back then and this is exactly how the inmates sat in 1988 all the way until 1995. This room was completely segregated into black and white.

This is a scary place if you walk alone even during day time. Inside the kitchen, one guy was thrown into a large vessel of boiling water. The lid was closed and the inmates stood on the lid until his flesh came off his bones. At night time, you’ll hear screaming and rattling noises from the kitchen. Footsteps, door slamming and voices are almost common occurrences in this area.  Faucets in the sinks will open themselves, and you may even get mysterious blisters on your skin. So, if you ever go to West Virginia, don’t forget to visit this place.

8 Legs & 800 Years Old – Incredible Indian Sculpture

Hey guys, I am at the Darasuram Temple in India and let’s take a look at this sculpture of a woman with 8 legs. This is a flexible acrobat with one head, two hands and four bodies. Now if I cover the rest of the legs except the top two legs, she is balancing her body weight on the floor with 2 hands. And both her legs are above the head. This is the first position. Now if I cover the other parts, except these 2 legs, this is a different position. Now, both these legs are also up in the air, but while her head is facing us, the body is twisted to the side.  If you cover the parts except the 2 legs on this side, you can see the other position. Now, look carefully and you’ll see 2 outstretched legs on the floor. If you cover everything else, you can see the woman doing a split. Notice the cute, naughty smile on her face, showing how proud she must have been of her body. This is not all, because you can see many other positions, if you cover legs in various combinations. For example, like this. Or like this. In modern day talent shows, you can see people performing these types of flexible acrobatics and getting enormous attention. This sculpture is at least 850 years old which proves that these types of performances existed in India a long time ago. If you look at the background, you can see women dancing on one side and a man on the other. This was probably some kind of a stage performance where the woman is showing her acrobatic skills. The sculptor has masterfully carved all these positions to match just one face.

There are other sculptures in this temple with much more complexity. Here, a woman is sitting on top of the acrobat, apparently juggling and creating more complex positions. On my website phenomenalplace.com, I’ve posted more sculptures of these flexible acrobats. It is a shame that corrosion has taken over and you can’t see the details on many of these valuable sculptures.

Here is my question to you: Isn’t is obvious that she does not actually have 8 legs and the sculptor carved them to show different positions? I ask this, because, this answers the question to why Indian Gods have so many hands. Take a look at any Indian God and you’ll see more than 2 hands. The sculptors in ancient times must have tried to show different positions and they carved multiple arms to show all the weapons and things they used. This is the only way to give a lot of information in a sculpture which cannot show moving images as opposed to a modern day video.

However as time went on, this logical way of thinking somehow disappeared. Nowadays, they use it to show power and create shock appeal. The more number of hands, the better it gets.  And I have seen sculptures where you can’t even count the number of arms. And these arms are just arms, most of them are empty. This is Avalokitesvara by the way, a very popular god in many Asian countries. So, if you’ve ever wondered why Indian Gods have so many hands, I hope this sculpture answered the question.

The Mystery of Coral Castle’s Barbecue Cooker

Let’s take a look at Ed’s barbecue cooker in Coral Castle.

In the southeast corner of Coral Castle, Ed has placed a massive cuboid artifact which is 8 feet tall and each side is about 4 feet wide. Ed has cut out the inside of the rock and made windows on each side. He has created a pit in the center for fire and a vent at the top to air out the smoke. A few inches above the pit, Ed has hung a large round metallic object which is a rear axle differential from a model T4, 1925. It could be opened and a football could fit in there, more or less. What is this weird looking structure?

The explanation I heard was not impressive: “Edward Leedskalnin used this to cook chicken and hot dogs. He would create a fire in the pit, and insert the food into the differential. Now, we have an air tight vessel (differential) which cooks the food faster and will prevent it from splattering all over the place. Ed imagined his sweet sixteen will come and use this cooker to make him food on a daily basis.”

This explanation would be true if Ed lived a demented, fantasy life which he clearly did not. Plus, Ed already had 2 kerosene stoves: One in the tower, set up with pots and pans which still exists today. The other stove was in his wooden cabin. Most people don’t know that Ed did not live inside the castle walls, he lived in a wooden cabin behind Coral Castle, which burned down a decade after his death. So, why did Ed spend the time and energy to build an eight foot tall cooker?

As I inspected the bottom of the cooker, I found something truly exciting. Ed has embedded a pipe almost at ground level which was connected to the fire pit. The hole in the middle of the fire pit was not just a straight hole, it was an L-shaped tunnel carefully drilled to be connected with the bottom pipe. On the bottom pipe, Ed has neatly fitted an iron flanged coupling with holes for bolts. I told you Ed was a genius – this is incontrovertible evidence that the “cooker” is in fact a blacksmithing forge! He would have fitted a hand crank blower at the bottom pipe, and would force the air from the bottom to the top. This would create a high intensity flame at the top, making it perfect for various blacksmithing operations.

Even today you can walk into Ed’s tool room, and find many odd shaped metal objects of various sizes. These tools have tags on them that says “Unknown” because experts can’t figure out how and why Ed used them. These mysterious objects prove that Ed fashioned his own tools from used car parts, by forging them in the “barbecue cooker”.

But this is just the tip of the iceberg. The hanging iron differential takes the blacksmithing forge to a whole new level. But you can read it my book “Coral Castle: Everything You Know Is Wrong“, I’ve explained several devices like this including Ed’s Mirror and his “Bathtub”.

Published My First Book! Coral Castle: Everything You Know Is Wrong

I just published my first book titled “Coral Castle: Everything You Know Is Wrong”. It’s a physical, printed book you can buy on Amazon, Barnes and Noble website and a lot of different websites. I’ve also released an eBook format on Amazon kindle. You can buy the Book/eBook from this link: https://www.amazon.com/Coral-Castle-Everything-Know-Wrong/dp/1534887369/

~BOOK INTRODUCTION~

A standard description of Coral Castle goes like this:

Coral Castle is a love monument built by an eccentric man called Edward Leedskalnin. The Castle is a giant doll house built for Ed’s sweet sixteen and his imaginary children. Ed built stone models of household objects like couches, bathtub, cooker, etc. to be used by his fictional family. He also created strange meaningless carvings like the moon fountain and obelisk to impress his lost love. Experts have shown that there is nothing mysterious about the castle or how it was constructed, just one man’s persistent work.

In this book, you will see that all the above statements are false. The chapters ahead will prove beyond any dispute that:

  1. Coral Castle was NOT built as a love monument.
  2. The Castle is NOT a giant doll house built for Ed’s imaginary family.
  3. There are NO meaningless objects in Coral Castle, each one has a specific meaning or purpose.
  4. Opinions of experts and engineers are fundamentally flawed about Coral Castle.

This book was not written to show how Coral Castle was built, but WHY Coral Castle was built. Why did Edward Leedskalnin, a 100 pound man with a 4th grade education, attempt to build the only modern megalithic mystery in the world?

In addition to this, you will find answers to other burning questions like:

  • What is the real meaning of objects like the Barbecue Cooker and Repentance Corner?
  • Why did Ed move to the US from Latvia?
  • What made Ed carve strange objects like the Stonehenge and Obelisk?
  • Why did Ed carve planets and multiple moons side by side?
  • Was Ed afflicted with Tuberculosis?
  • Why did Ed choose to build Coral Castle in Southern Florida?
  • What is the meaning of the drawing on the red door?
  • Why did Ed place dozens of rocking chairs all over the Castle?

If you do decide to buy and read this book, it’s gonna change your whole view about Coral Castle and Edward Leedskalnin.
